Executive-in-Residence Edward
Albertian will work with faculty, staff and students on projects
and curriculum
related initiatives in the areas of strategy, leadership,
operations and marketing management, and information systems.
Albertian is the President and Chief Operating Officer of
Trans National Group Companies in Boston. In this role, Albertian
is responsible
for all Boston operating companies, including TNTvacations.com,
TNCI communications, Belkin Lookout Farm in Natick,
Massachusetts and others.
Albertian joined CM from C&S Wholesale Grocers
of Brattleboro, VT, the number two food wholesaler
in the
US, where he
was the President and Chief Operating Officer.
Before
joining C&S, Albertian was the President and Chief
Executive Officer of streamline. com, an Internet based ordering
and home delivery service; co-owner, Executive Vice President
and Chief Operating Officer of Star Market Corporation, a major
New England grocery chain now known as Shaw’s; one of
the early pioneers at Staples, Inc. during a period of extraordinary
growth.
Albertian has shared his managerial and professional expertise
with many students and has been a guest speaker at UMass, Northeastern
and Harvard. He has served as a member of the College of Management’s
Advisory Board since 1999.
