Professor Arindam Bandopadhyaya visits Delhi, India as part of a summer 2009 “Business & Entrepreneurship in India” course

As part of the course entitled "Business & Entrepreneurship in India”, Report: MBAs from Taiwan Complete “Business & Entrepreneurship in India”, Professor Arindam Bandopadhyaya visited Delhi, India in summer 2009.  This course was open to graduate students in the College of Management and similar courses will be offered in the future.  This summer, students had the opportunity to learn about management practices in India and made company visits to Aircel (one of the India's largest wireless providers), Sona Incorporated, which is an auto part supplier with ties to Honda, and Microsoft View India Program Photos.

 

Professor Raymond Liu Travels with MBA Students to China

The UMass Boston Summer China program, led by professor Raymond Liu, had another successful summer trip to Beijing and Shanghai.  Through a series of lectures, company visits, guest speakers, and cultural outings, the students gained an appreciation for the differences and similarities between the Chinese and U.S. economies.  The group of Master's students left with a nuanced picture of the richness of Asian culture and a healthy respect for the business opportunities in emerging markets.
