to your Email Account
Students are required to use their UMB
e-mail address for all university communication.
More information about the e-mail policy is available
at http://www.umb.edu/it/cis/email/policy.html.
You can obtain your UMB e-mail address from within
the Personal Portfolio of your Wiser account, as well
as the other e-mail addresses you provided. To access
your student e-mail, go to: http://webmail.umb.edu.
New student UMB e-mail accounts are created 48 hours
after registration. You should expect to receive your
UMB e-mail login information after this period of time.
Your e-mail user name is:
firstname.lastname### (### indicates three numbers
ex. 001, 002, etc.)
For example:
If your user name is “alice.jones001”
Your e-mail address is alice.jones001@umb.edu
Just like your initial self-service password, your
e-mail password is;
the first two letters of your last name (capitalize
the first letter only)
Followed by your birth date in MMDDYYYY format.
For example:
If Alice Jones was born on April 15, 1980, her password
would be Jo04151980.
5. Reset your own password online.
If you have forgotten your UMB e-mail password you
may reset it by visiting: https://mpweb.umb.edu/passwordreset.php
Note that you will be required to enter the following:
your username
your 8-digit Wiser ID
a new password
must contain one capital letter
must be 7 characters in length
Be sure to click change password.
