COURSEWORK:

Business Foundation Courses* (4)

• AF 601 Economics for Managers
• AF 610 Accounting for Managers
• AF 620 Financial Management
• MKT 670 Marketing Management

*Students who hold a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Management or a related field may be able to waive some or all of the Business Foundation courses.

International Management Core (6)
All students must complete the following 6 courses:

• MGT 650 Organizational Analysis and Skills (must be taken in the first semester)
• MGT 660 Business and Its Environment
• AF 615 International Accounting
• MGT 675 Managing in the Global Economy
• MKT 674 International Marketing
• AF 626 International Financial Management

International Management Electives (4)
Students must complete 4 of the following electives:

• AF 603 Massachusetts in the Global Economy
• AF 622 Global Portfolio Investment Management
• AF 634 International Economy and Business
• MGT 665 International and Comparative Management
• MGT 677 International Perspectives on Business and Government
• MGT 685 Global Industry and Competitive Analysis
• MGT 687 Global Warming
• MGT 688 Globalization and Workforce Outsourcing
• MGT 690 Multinational Corporations
• MGT 691 Emerging Markets in the Global Economy
• MKT 679 Export Development and Foreign Sourcing

New electives will be added to the MSIM program on an ongoing basis. Students may apply coursework from other related disciplines, such as Economics, Public Policy, or International Relations with the permission of the Graduate Program Office.

LANGUAGE:
Students must also demonstrate proficiency in a major world language other than English through coursework or examination.
